This course is designed to introduce students to the principles and practices of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design. Students will learn how to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to use, and meet the needs of the end-user. The course will cover the basics of design, including color theory, typography, layout, and composition. It will also cover the fundamentals of UX design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing. Throughout the course, students will work on a variety of design projects to develop their skills and gain practical experience. They will learn how to analyze user needs and behavior, develop design concepts, and create prototypes using industry-standard software tools like Sketch and Adobe XD. Students will also learn about design thinking and the importance of user-centered design in creating successful digital products. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in UI/UX design principles and be able to create effective designs for web and mobile applications. They will have a portfolio of design projects to showcase their skills and be prepared to pursue a career in UI/UX design or related fields.
